Active Care Center is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)–led ABA therapy clinic in Burnsville, Minnesota, serving children, teens, and families across Lakeville, Apple Valley, Eagan, Savage, Bloomington, and the wider south metro Twin Cities. Every program we offer — from 1:1 therapy to social groups and parent training — is grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis, the most extensively researched, evidence-based therapy for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental delays.
Each service is individualized, supervised by a BCBA, and delivered by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in our welcoming, sensory-friendly clinic. We accept most major Minnesota insurance plans — including Blue Cross Blue Shield, HealthPartners, Medica, UCare, and Minnesota Medical Assistance — and our intake team will help verify coverage before your first appointment.
Not sure which service is the right fit? Start with a free consultation. Our BCBAs will listen to your family's goals, review your child's history, and recommend the combination of ABA therapy services most likely to make a real, lasting difference.
Common questions about Active Care Center services.
Which service should I start with?
Most families begin with a free intake consultation. A BCBA reviews your child's history, current goals, and any prior evaluations, then recommends the service mix — 1:1 ABA, early intervention, social groups, parent training, or a combination — that best fits their needs.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Active Care Center is in-network with most major Minnesota insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, HealthPartners, Medica, UCare, PreferredOne, and Minnesota Medical Assistance (MA/Medicaid). Our team handles benefits verification and prior authorization for you.
What ages do you work with?
We provide ABA therapy and related services for children, adolescents, and teens — typically 18 months through 18 years old. Early intervention is a core focus, but it is never too late to start. Programs are tailored to your child's developmental stage and individual goals.
How quickly can we get started?
Most Burnsville-area families complete intake and begin services within two to four weeks of their first inquiry. After insurance verification and a BCBA assessment, we'll schedule first sessions and walk you through every step of the onboarding process.
Can we combine multiple services?
Absolutely. Many families use a blend — for example, 1:1 ABA at the clinic alongside parent training at home and a school consult to support classroom progress. Our BCBAs design care plans that adapt as your child grows.
Who delivers the therapy?
Every program is designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Direct, day-to-day sessions are delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians who complete rigorous training and ongoing competency reviews.
Not sure where to start?
Most families start with a free 15-minute consultation. We'll talk through your child's needs and help you understand the right next step.
